Knife Fight Training (2 Days/16 H)

Survival in a close-quarters confrontation is only partially determined by individual technique; 50% of operational success depends on a superior combat strategy. This intensive workshop is designed to equip the trainee with the skills necessary to neutralize edged-weapon assaults and master the defensive employment of the blade. The program follows training protocols derived from elite military units, with an exclusive focus on real-world effectiveness, strike biomechanics, and kinetic stress management.

Mandatory Prerequisites

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent communication skills (written and oral) in English.
  • Vetting: Background checks are mandatory.
  • Technical staff reserve the right to dismiss students who fail to comply with the established safety and ethical standards. Maintaining these requirements is a mandatory condition for participation in all activities.

Learning Objectives & Competencies

During the workshop, the operator will gain proficiency in the following critical areas:

  • Edged Weapons Defense: Analysis and neutralization of the most common attack patterns (linear, circular, and static threats).
  • Movement Mechanics: Optimization of reach, execution speed, and impact mass.
  • The 3 Golden Rules: Fundamental tactical directives to ensure operator safety during an engagement.
  • Personalized Strategy: Development of a reactive system based on individual biomechanics.
  • Space Management: Analysis of critical distances and tactical navigation during dynamic encounters.

Participant Profile & Methodology

The course is designed for beginner and intermediate level operators. The curriculum integrates theoretical sessions on the psychology of conflict with intensive practical training, conducted in both indoor environments (technical mats) and realistic outdoor scenarios. The objective is to develop a Defensive Mindset capable of reacting instinctively under high pressure.

Equipment & Logistics

  • Apparel: Tactical boots or reinforced athletic footwear; abrasion-resistant technical clothing is highly recommended.
  • Training Gear (Provided by the Academy):
    • Blades: BRAVE combat knives, metal training blades, and soft/rubber blades for high-intensity sparring.
    • Impact Tools: Training batons and bamboo/rattan sticks.
    • Targets: Rubber dummies, breaking boards, and protective shields for power development.

Detailed Syllabus

  • Phase 1: Fundamentals & Awareness
    • Conflict Psychology: Transitioning from “shock state” to operational readiness.
    • Mobility: Tactical footwork and transitions between combat stances (Positions A and B).
    • Situational Awareness: Environmental scanning protocols and threat prevention.
  • Phase 2: Defense & Disarmament Techniques
    • Threat Analysis: Managing “knife-point” threats (static) and defending against dynamic assaults.
    • Defensive Drills: Blocking and parrying techniques to neutralize slashes and stabs.
    • Support Hand Integration: Utilizing the non-armed limb for control, checking, and weapon retention.
  • Phase 3: Operational Employment (Combatives)
    • Carry & Deployment: Procedures for rapid and secure access to the weapon system.
    • Advanced Handling: Cutting and thrusting techniques utilizing the BRAVE combat knife.
    • Applied Anatomy: Identification of vital areas and high-vulnerability physiological zones.
  • Phase 4: Tool Integration & Simulations
    • Cross-Training: Movement analogies between blade usage and telescopic baton employment.
    • Defensive Baton: Protocols for utilizing the expandable baton for self-defense and subject control.
    • Stress-Induced Simulations: Real-world combat and defense scenarios to validate skills under pressure.

Certifications

Upon successful completion of the final practical assessments, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Course Completion, documenting the skills acquired in edged-weapon defense and tactical blade employment.
